Creating you own Bathroom Sanctuary…

Creating my new range of bathroom basins has been such a joy. I love working with the larger sculptural forms and creating these truly unique luxury basins.

It doesn’t matter if you have a small cosy bathroom space or a larger space to play with. My basins come in a range of sizes from camper van size up to lavish luxury ‘his’ and ‘hers’basins for a large counter top area.

We all deserve a relaxing bathroom space, and creating a luxurious feeling bathroom sanctuary can be easy to achieve. Here are a few key elements to evoke a sense of relaxation, rejuvenation, and indulgence:

  1. Quality Materials: Opt for high-quality materials that exude luxury and durability. Consider using ceramics, natural stone or wood for countertops, floors, and walls. Also selecting quality tiles with elegant finishes like porcelain or ceramic can make a huge difference.

  2. Spa-like Elements: This can be as simple as adding candles to your bathroom space! Or if the budget allows, spa-like fixtures can really enhance the bathing experience. This could include a rainfall showerhead, a deep soaking tub, or a steam shower. Look for fixtures with sleek designs and modern features, such as adjustable water pressure and temperature controls.

  3. Luxurious Textures: Incorporate luxurious textures to add warmth and comfort to the space. Invest in plush, soft towels, bath mats, and robes made from high-quality materials like Egyptian cotton or bamboo.

  4. Ambient Lighting: Create a soothing ambiance with carefully selected lighting. Install dimmer switches to adjust the brightness according to your mood and preference. Consider incorporating LED lights around mirrors or under cabinets for a soft, diffused glow. Candlelight or decorative pendant lights can also add to the spa-like ambiance.

  5. Calming Color Palette: Choose a calming color palette inspired by nature to promote relaxation and tranquility. Soft, neutral tones like beige, taupe, and pale blue create a serene backdrop, while accents of green or earthy hues can evoke a sense of natural beauty and balance. However adding a pop of colour here and there to the space can also bring a little touch of vibrance and fun to the space.

  6. Natural Elements: Bring the outdoors in by incorporating natural elements into your bathroom design. This could include live plants, or for those of us who need something a little easier opt for faux planting.

  7. Aromatherapy: Introduce aromatherapy elements to enhance the spa experience. Use essential oil diffusers or scented candles with soothing fragrances like lavender, eucalyptus, or jasmine to create a calming atmosphere and promote relaxation.

  8. Organized and Clutter-Free: Keep the space organized and clutter-free to maintain a sense of serenity and luxury. Invest in stylish storage solutions, such as built-in cabinets, floating shelves, or decorative baskets, to keep toiletries, towels, and other essentials neatly tucked away.
